Whitinger & Company LLC proudly announces the addition of Yvette Lamie, CPA, to the firm’s assurance team.

A proud native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Yvette brings more than thirty years of comprehensive experience in public accounting to her role as Senior Manager at Whitinger & Company. Yvette holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Yvette specializes in employee benefits audit practices, expertly navigating the complexities of defined contribution and defined benefit plans, health & welfare programs, contractor-owned Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), and Taft-Hartley plans. Her extensive experience includes advising clients on essential areas such as accounting, financial reporting, internal control frameworks, and ERISA compliance, as well as providing guidance on DOL and IRS correction programs.

In addition to her specialization in employee benefits, Yvette also has experience performing compilation and review services for small business clients, including income tax preparation. In her previous roles, she developed audit methodology, created standardized processes, and trained staff members.

Yvette has been a member of numerous professional organizations and industry associations throughout her career, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society, underlining her dedication to ongoing professional development and industry engagement. She earned a leadership certificate from the Stanley K. Lacey Executive Leadership Series and was recognized as an Employee Benefits Super CPA by the Indiana CPA Society.
