Cole hails from Muncie, Indiana, and is a dedicated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting from Ball State University. As a Manager at Whitinger, he plays a vital role in delivering exceptional client service while nurturing the professional growth of team members. 

Cole possesses a robust skill set in tax preparation, proficiently handling a diverse array of tax matters. His expertise encompasses individual, nonprofit, business, personal property, C Corporation, S Corporation, and partnership returns. Notably, he has substantial experience with Form 1065 partnership tax returns, specifically structured for Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. 

His professional journey with Whitinger commenced in 2016 as an accounting intern. Cole further refined his skills through another tax internship with SKS Accounting and Consulting in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2019, he joined Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski (DOZ), where he spent seven impactful years, advancing to the role of Tax Manager. In 2026, Cole made a strategic decision to return to Whitinger, bringing with him a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of leadership. 

Cole is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. In addition to his CPA credentials, he has also earned the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification, underscoring his commitment to professional development. 

When he’s not immersed in accounting, Cole enjoys various outdoor activities, keeping an eye on the stock market, and exploring foreign languages. However, much of his time is devoted to his growing young family, where he finds his greatest joy and fulfillment.
