Colton Smith is a Staff Accountant in the firm’s Muncie office and works in all areas of the practice, including tax and assurance. His responsibilities include accounting, auditing, consulting, and tax compliance services for small businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations.

Colton is a Yorktown native and a graduate of Yorktown High School. He went on to excel at Ball State University, where he earned his undergraduate degrees as a double major in Accounting and Economics with a minor in Financial Planning. Colton also completed a full-time accounting internship with Whitinger during the spring semester of his junior year. Colton is a member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Throughout his college career, this well-rounded individual received the Presidential Scholarship and was recognized on the Dean’s List numerous times. He also acquired a Becker Excel and Data Analytics certificate while gaining practical work experience in bookkeeping with ALS Integrated Services, managing the Tiger Café, and engaging youth at the YMCA of Anderson as a Childcare Counselor.
