Michael Lee is a native of the Indianapolis area but now calls Elwood his home. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University in May of 2023. Michael completed a full-time accounting internship with Whitinger during the spring semester of 2023 and is working as an Intern again while he works towards a Master’s Degree in Accounting.

As a Whitinger Intern, Michael works with other professionals in the firm to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. He collaborates with staff members to complete financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and depreciation schedules. Overall, he will apply what he has learned in the classroom to solve real client issues.

While attending Ball State, Michael has been recognized on the Dean’s List numerous times. He enjoys traveling to new places, hiking, and listening to music. Michael is a National Technical Honor Society member and plans to become a CPA. Michael has accepted an offer to join Whitinger & Company full-time as a Staff Accountant in August 2024.
