Whitinger & Company Welcomes Staff Accountants August 1, 2024

August 5, 2024 – Muncie, IN – Regional public accounting and advisory firm Whitinger & Company has announced the addition of two staff accountants to the firm’s Muncie office.   

Keith Hartley and Michael Lee will work in all areas of the practice, including tax and assurance. Their responsibilities include accounting, auditing, consulting, and tax compliance services for small businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations.  

Keith Hartley is a native of Portland, Indiana, where he graduated from Jay County High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Masters in Accounting from Ball State University. Keith interned with Whitinger during the spring semester of 2023 and served as a Graduate Assistant at Ball State in 2024 as he completed his coursework. 

During his college career, Keith was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List, received numerous scholarships for his efforts, and demonstrated leadership as the Secretary of the BSU Accounting Club. Keith is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and is working towards his CPA license. 

Michael Lee is a native of the Indianapolis area but now calls Muncie his home. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Masters in Accounting from Ball State University. Michael interned with Whitinger during the spring semesters of 2023 and 2024 as he completed his coursework. 

While attending Ball State, Michael was recognized on the Dean’s List numerous times and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He is also a member of the Indiana CPA Society and is working towards his CPA license.
