Regional public accounting and advisory firm Whitinger & Company has announced the promotion of Maria King to Business Manager.
As Business Manager, Maria’s responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s financial reporting, internal bookkeeping, and monthly client billing. She is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable functions and supports company payroll and benefits administration. This position is vital to the overall administration of the firm and has numerous client touch points that require the highest level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Maria is from Parker City, Indiana, and lives with her family on a small farm outside Selma, Indiana. She graduated from Monroe Central High School and went on to receive a Technical Certificate in Accounting, Payroll, and Bookkeeping from Ivy Tech Community College. She recently completed training to become a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor for Online & Desktop. Before joining Whitinger as an Accounting Assistant, Maria served as Financial Coordinator for Burris Laboratory School in Muncie, Indiana.
