Whitinger & Company is proud to announce the promotion of Ross Swallow, CPA, to Member of the accounting and advisory firm. This announcement was made at the Member/Owner annual meeting in June.
Originally from Union City, Ohio, Ross received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Findlay with a double major in Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting with a Minor in Finance. He then completed a Master’s in Accounting from Ball State University. He joined Whitinger & Company in 2006 and earned his CPA designation in 2007.
Ross specializes in small business tax and individual tax service including specialties in the construction, real estate, and agriculture industries. He also provides audit services for employee benefit plans and review services for small businesses. He assists the firm in college recruiting and serves as a mentor to new staff members. Ross is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ross is involved in community service efforts and currently serves as Treasurer for Meals on Wheels of Muncie and on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie. He is a graduate of Shafer Leadership Academy’s Emergence Leadership Program and The Academy for Community Leadership.
