Whitinger & Company Welcomes Spring 2026 Interns January 30, 2026

January 29, 2026 – Muncie, IN – Regional public accounting and advisory firm Whitinger & Company has announced the addition of four interns to their professional staff in Muncie & Fishers. All four will spend their spring semester working in the firm’s tax division.  

As Whitinger Interns, each student will work with other professionals and partners in the firm to prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. Under the supervision of Mentors, they will collaborate with staff members to complete financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and depreciation schedules. Overall, each student will apply what they have learned in the classroom to solve real client issues. 

Trinity Gray is an ambitious and detailed accounting student from Frankfort, Indiana. Currently enrolled at Ball State University, she will soon graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in Financial Planning. Trinity’s commitment to academic excellence is matched by her passion for practical experience in the financial sector. 

Trinity’s academic journey reflects her dedication to the field of accounting. At Ball State University, she has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a drive for knowledge. Her active engagement in the Accounting Club and Delta Sigma Pi, the premier professional fraternity for aspiring business professionals, showcases her commitment to networking and professional development. 

Ally McMasters hails from Fishers, Indiana, and is currently a junior at Purdue University, majoring in accounting. With plans to pursue a master’s degree upon graduation, Ally is laying a strong foundation for a successful career in the field. Her academic achievements are commendable; she has consistently earned a spot on the Dean’s List throughout multiple semesters. 

At Purdue, she actively participates in the Purdue Accounting Association, where she further develops her professional acumen. Additionally, Ally is committed to community service, volunteering with the Boiler Green Initiative, an environmental sustainability club, and walking dogs at the Hamilton County Humane Society during breaks from school. 

Mason Michelin is a dedicated and ambitious junior at Ball State University, majoring in accounting. An accomplished graduate of William Henry Harrison High School in West Lafayette, Indiana, Mason earned the ICC (Indiana College Core) Certificate through Vincennes University, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence from an early stage. 

Before the Fall 2024 semester, Mason participated in Ball State University’s summer bridge program, CLASS (Cardinal Leadership and Service Seminar). This experience enriched his understanding of effective leadership and community service, allowing him to develop skills that will benefit both his peers and the community. 

Morgan Wagner is from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is currently pursuing her accounting degree at Ball State University in Muncie. An active member of the Ball State Accounting Club and the Delta Sigma Pi professional fraternity, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to academic excellence, earning a spot on the Dean’s List multiple times. 

Throughout high school and college, Morgan has worked in various roles, developing valuable skills in customer service, teamwork, and decision-making. These roles demonstrate her work ethic and allow her to hone her communication skills further, preparing her for future professional endeavors.
